DROP IN ICE
Non Skate Canada Members
Persons who wish to take skating lessons but do not want to commit to a program can still become Barrhead Skating Club Skate Canada Members and purchase drop-in ice time. Membership provides you with insurance during a Skate Canada clubs ice times from September 1st– August 31st. Two choices of drop-in ice cards are available from the club - 1 hour or 5 hour. Cards have 15 minute squares on the back that will be initialed by your coach at the start of every 15 minutes you are on the ice. Once your card is full you must purchase another if you wish to continue taking skating lessons. Drop in Ice does not include Group Sessions with Certified Coach.
First you must secure lesson times with a club coach. After confirming a coach you will need to contact the club to become registered and purchase an ice card. The club will need completed registration.

BSC Program Members (Pre-CanSkate, CanSkate, Intro-STARSkate)
Any skater wishing to have private lessons with a coach can purchase drop-in ice time to receive a lesson. Lessons take place during the STARSkate ice sessions.

Non BSC Members
STARSkate or CompetitiveSkate Skate Canada Members from other clubs may purchase drop-in ice from the BFSC. Drop-in ice is available in 1 hour cards. Skaters must email the club with a copy of their Skate Canada Membership and the date and time they wish to skate. A club member will reply after confirming with all coaches that there is nothing conflicting going on during the session. When stepping on the ice you must give your card to a BFSC Coach who will record the start time. After 1 hour you have the choice to leave the ice or present a new card to the coach. Note: If the skater leaves the ice before their 1 hour is finished the remaining time is not banked. Drop in Ice does not include Group Sessions with Certified Coach.
